Carbon crash

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 2:03 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, along SR534 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Brandon M. Anders, 28, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer westbound when, for unknown reasons, lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle crossed over the center lines and impacted with the guide rail along the south berm.

Anders and passengers Thelora Weaver, 22, and Bradlee Steinruck, both of Jim Thorpe, and Melody Garrison, 30, of Effort, were all not injured.
