Mahoning woman celebrates 90th birthday

Loise Pinkerton Fritz of Mahoning Valley recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She was born July 14, 1925, to Russell and Irene Miller.

She is a graduate of Lehighton High School.

Loise met and married the love of her life, Delbert N. Fritz, in 1953. They were married for 61 years until his death on May 25 of this year.

Loise still lives in the house that Delbert built in 1953.

She worked as a secretary for Prudential Life Insurance Company in Lehighton for 12 years.

Loise loves the outdoors and nature, music (playing the piano and organ for her church in her younger years), reading and writing poetry.

She is a published poet and is a collector of dolls.
