Girls on the Edge includes songs of musical theater featuring women on the cusp of change. Boudreaux, Pabon and Wicks present some of your favorite female characters at their weakest moments and their strongest resolutions, utilizing music for the ultimate solution.
Boudreaux made her Carnegie Hall debut with Opera Orchestra New York, and recently made her symphonic debut with the Astoria Symphony Orchestra.
Her performances have been called "sensitive" and "commanding" by Opera Magazine. Anthony Tommasini of The New York Times noted she "won deserved ovations" at New York's Verdi Square Festival.
Pabon's versatility also ranges from classical works to musical theater. Her performances have been lauded by publications ranging from MTV Style to The Washington Post. Anne Midgette of The Washington Post wrote "Ilene Pabon maintained a kind of Angelina Jolie-like imperturbability as the beautiful Estella."
Wicks is an in-demand pianist and music director highly praised for her wide range of repertory as well. Broadway credits include "Wicked," "Violet," "Big Fish," "Nice Work If You Can Get It," "In the Heights" and "Spring Awakening." National tours include "Billy Elliot" and "Spring Awakening."
She works regularly on the development of new musicals, and stays equally involved in the development of new operas. She was most recently the associate conductor of the world premiere of "The Summer King," a new opera by Daniel Sonenberg.
