Cherry Valley Festival this Saturday
The annual Cherry Valley Festival will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Josie Porter Farm, 6514 Cherry Valley Road in Stroudsburg.
The event will feature nature walks, farm tours, bird walks, music, arts and crafts vendors, a benefit auction, and food.
Special events include:
11 a.m.: Cooking demonstration by Mikuna Kitchen. Learn how to make gnocchi from scratch, plus how to use seasonal vegetables for easy dinners.
12:30 p.m.: Music Naturally with Veronika Roemer. In this audience-participation show, learn how to create instruments from stone, bamboo, metal and more.
2 p.m.: "Bats of the Valley" with Marilyn Kitchell Straton, wildlife biologist
3 p.m.: "Critters of the Wild" with Roger Spotts of Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center
