Visit craftsman behind the scenes
The Lehigh Valley Arts Council Arts Alive 2015 Series continues next weekend with "Wood & Steel," a tour of furniture designer and craftsman Bill Kreider's studio, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 20.
Inspired by unconventional and discarded items, often with historical context, Kreider's designs use contemporary lines to offset traditional materials, including most famously, Bethlehem Steel "I" beams into bookcases.
Join Kreider for a personal tour of his studio workspace, which is located in the old Pennsylvania Stage Company scene shop on 127 N. Lumber St. in Allentown.
Attendance is limited to 25 visitors at each event. Reserve your tickets at LVArtsBoxOffice.org.
Light refreshments will be served. Fees are $15 for Arts Council members, $20 for nonmembers.
