Theft incidents reported

State police at Lehighton reported on the following theft incidents investigated by troopers.

The theft of a tow truck is being investigated. The owners of Don's Auto Sales, 5260 Interchange Road in Towamensing Township reported a tow truck was taken from the business sometime between April 30 and May 1. The truck is red with a blue driver's side door. It has state registration plate RT50749.

Forest White of Albrightsville reported someone towed a white, two-door 1993 Ford Explorer from the parking lot at 210 Rodenbach Lane in Brodheadsville on April 18. A white flatbed tow truck was used to take the vehicle, troopers said.

At 3 p.m. April 21, troopers responded to 7735 Pohopoco Drive in Towamensing Township. A male from Albrightsville reported an all-terrain vehicle was removed from outside the residence sometime between 10:30 p.m. the night before and when troopers were called.

A 46-year-old Bowmanstown woman reported someone stole $100 from her. The incident was reported at 12:50 p.m. April 27.

A 35-year-old female from Ore Street in Palmerton reported someone tried to defraud her of $789.30 via an email. She reported the incident on April 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Troopers are investigating the theft of five copper ground plates from an American Tower site in Ross Township.

The theft was reported by the victim, AT&T of Whitehall. The theft occurred sometime between Oct. 16, 2014, and April 30. The plates are valued at $1,000.
