FAMILY REUNION
The annual Wertman Family Association reunion will be held in Danville Aug. 21-22.
It will begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 21 at the Mahoning Township Municipal Building with presentations by family researchers. After dinner at the Creekside 2 Family Restaurant there will be a presentation on an Indian raid that occurred during the Revolutionary War.
On Aug. 22, there will be a catered picnic in the pavilion at St. James United Church of Christ. The annual business meeting and auction of art, crafts and other items will follow lunch.
A block of rooms have been reserved at the Best Western Plus in Danville. Call 570-275-5750 to reserve a room.
Early Wertman-related surnames include: Ebner, Fenstermacher, Heimbach, Kreutz, Krum, Moser, Rubrecht, Sander, Shuck, Straub and Zehner.
