BRIGHT COLORS COMING SOON

  • Empty

The best and brightest fall foliage is just around the corner for the Eastern Weiser State Forest region of Schuylkill and Carbon counties. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, oaks will display red, yellow and russet brown in the coming week. Tulip poplar trees will add brighter yellow as our area inches closer to peak color expected over the next few weeks. In this scene at Locust Lake in Barnesville, a lakeside tree shows its color against a backdrop of green. DONALD R. SERFASS/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
