More than 1,000 without electricity in Mahoning

More than 1,000 customers are without electricity in a section that includes Route 443  and parts of 902 in Mahoning Township.

According to PPL, the power outage is caused by a blown fuse or a tripped breaker.

Walmart is one of the businesses closed because of the outage.

Power is expected to be restored by 5 p.m.
