Dirt bike crash victim transported from Broad Mountain

Emergency crews rescued a dirt bike crash victim from the Broad Mountain on Saturday.

At 3:30 p.m., New Columbus, Hauto, and Nesquehoning fire companies along with Lehighton ALS, Nesquehoning police, and Rush Township police were dispatched to Denison Road in Nesquehoning in the area of the Cogeneration plant for a vehicle accident with injuries.

When crews went responding they were advised that it was a dirt bike accident with the patient on top of the Broad Mountain.

Crews from the Hauto fire department went up the mountain to get the patient and quickly located him. As other departments were responding, the New Columbus fire company helped with the patient.

The Nesquehoning fire department stood by at the soccer field in Hauto in case of the need for a Medevac landing. After determining the patients injuries, Lehighton ALS transported him to Miner's Memorial Hospital.
