Community service hours available at the fair

Individuals who are in need of community service hours are welcome to join the fair board members and volunteers on the following dates at the fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2 and Aug. 9.

Volunteers are reminded to bring paperwork requiring verification to each session. There are a variety tasks that can be performed to prepare for this year's event.

The fair will be held Aug. 3-8 on Little Gap Road in Palmerton. There is a general admission fee of $5 per person for everyone 6 years and older to attend the fair.

Admission includes musical entertainment. There is an additional fee for most arena events for those 6 years and older.
