Story times in our area

Lehighton Area Memorial Library's newest story time is one of many story times available in our area. Other local story times include:

• Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St., Tamaqua: Preschool story time Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., beginning Sept. 22. Register by calling 570-668-4660. Teen program will also start this fall.

• Dimmick Memorial Library, 54 Broadway, Jim Thorpe: Preschool story time Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

• Lehighton Area Memorial Library, 124 North St., Lehighton: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 6 p.m.

• Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton: Preschool story time Friday at 10:30 starting on Sept. 4.

• Penn-Kidder Library Center, 7 Pine Point Dr., Suite 2, Albrightsville: Preschool story time Wednesdays at 11 a.m.

• Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford: Story time resumes in September, Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.

• Western Pocono Community Library, 131 Pilgrim Way, Brodheadsville: Story time Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.; Wednesday at 1 p.m.; Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.; and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. A story time for special needs children is also held Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
