Schuylkill driver facing DUI charge

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident on Saturday along Route 1006, near Route 1011, in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said Harold Kern, 52, of Mahanoy City, was stopped for a traffic violation at 7:42 p.m. At the stop Kern was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He submitted to a breath test at the barracks which showed he was above the legal limit, trooper said.

Charges were filed.
