Man cited for dog law violation
Tamaqua police cited Matt Welsh, 40, of 740 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, for allowing his dog to run at large after a May 3 incident on Hazle Street.
A Tamaqua woman was walking her dog along Hazle Street when Welsh's dog left his yard, running toward her. She was knocked to the ground by the animal, which had escaped from a newly fenced-in area. Welsh was cited and promised to make adjustments to the new fence.
