Free tax help from AARP

AARP Tax-Aide Volunteers will provide free assistance with filing federal, state and local tax forms for seniors and low to moderate income taxpayers in our local communities.

Persons interested in this free service should bring their current tax documents, plus a copy of last year's tax returns to one of the following locations on the days listed below.

These locations will be open from 9 a.m. until noon beginning Feb. 3 through April 15.

• Salem United Church of Christ, Route 209, Gilbert Road, Gilbert; Mondays and Thursdays

• Penn Forest Township Municipal Building, Route 903, Jim Thorpe; Wednesdays

• Beaver Meadows Borough Hall, 100 E. Broad St., Beaver Meadows; Thursdays

• Lehighton Senior Center, 243 S. Eighth St., Lehighton; Tuesdays
