Tkach Foundation assists food pantry

    The Bo Tkach Under the Helmet and Hat Foundation recently provided $1,000 in assistance to the Christian Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches to help replenish food items for the pantry that serves the Palmerton area. Board members Manny Guedes, left, and Ed Hedes, right, presented the check to the Rev. Jodi Neifert of St. John’s Towamensing Lutheran Church, where the pantry is located. The foundation, which has a primary goal of providing counseling services for young people who may not have the resources to get them help, also provides scholarships and athletic assistance.
