1-2 inches of snow today, more Thursday night

Light snowfall accumulations are expected today, with snow expected to arrive by 9 a.m.. Minor travel impacts from the snow are expected for a majority of the region.

 

There is a potential for rain to change to snow Thursday into Friday. Snowfall amounts and impacts are highly uncertain at this time.

 

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service:


Today: Snow, mainly before 1pm. High near 31. Light and variable wind becoming north 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 32. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. South wind 5 to 8 mph.

Thursday: A chance of rain between 1pm and 4pm, then a chance of snow after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Thursday Night: Snow likely, mainly after 7pm. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 24.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 9.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 27.

Saturday Night: A chance of snow after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday Night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 26.
