2 arrested at Schuylkill prison

Two people were arrested at the state correctional institution at Frackville, Schuylkill County, trying to bring illegal substances into the facility.

State police at Frackville identified the suspects as Jasmine London, 23, of Philadelphia, and Tykeia Pew, 35, of Norristown.

Troopers said on Sunday the two arrived at the prison and parked in the prison lot and entered the facility.

London had four small bundles of K2 synthetic marijuana, six Xanax prescription pills in an unmarked vial, and a small vial with marijuana. Pew had a small bag of marijuana and a butterfly folding knife.

A search was also conducted of their vehicle, driven to the prison by Pew. A 9 mm handgun and a marijuana grinder were found.

Both were charged with felony counts of contraband and misdemeanor counts of drug possession.
