2 win national martial arts tournament

Ro Faulkner and Chris Searfoss of Mountain Karate Academy are both martial arts competitors and have been competing in local tournaments for some time now.

The two recently competed in the nationals held in Pennsylvania where Searfoss won three gold medals and Faulkner won four gold medals. This qualified them to move on to the State Games of America.

On Aug. 2, they traveled to Virginia and both brought home two silver medals in the State Games of America competition.

They will be competing in Ireland next June in the Irish Cup International Martial Arts Tournament.
