$2,000 missing from business bank deposit

State police at Stroudsburg are investigating a reported theft incident at a Monroe County business.

Troopers said on April 8 a suspect was given $2,341.84 to deposit in the PNC Bank for the Adult Outlet in Hamilton Township. On April 10 the manager of the business confirmed the money had not been deposited.

The suspect was interviewed, troopers said. The suspect told troopers only $300 was taken and that he was to get change from the bank.

The investigation is continuing.
