Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

CACH, 4340 S. Monaco St., Denver, Colo., filed against Larry G. Darrohn, 119 North Ave., Apt. 1, Jim Thorpe, seeking $6,378.44.

Capital One Bank, 15000 Capital One Drive, Richmond, Va., filed against Gerald W. Pickering, 463 Stony Mountain Rd., Jim Thorpe, seeking $6,673.

Discover Bank, 6500 New Albany Rd., New Albany, Ohio, filed two actions as follows: Leann Miller, 1023 E. Main St., Weatherly, seeking $3,328.18; and Lyudmila Revzina, 171 Sassafas Rd., Albrightsville, seeking $2,929.12.

Chase Bank USA, 3700 Wiseman Blvd., San Antonio, Tex., filed against James Hurd, 1714 Buck Mountain Rd., Weatherly, seeking $17,957.83.

Target National Bank, c/o 213 E. Main St., Carnegie, filed against Brinda L. Zelinsky, 204 Jennifer Lane, Lehighton, seeking $11,027.50.

Arrow Financial Services, c/o 520 Fellowship Rd., Mount Laurel, N.J., filed three actions as follows: Deborah Williams, 18 Third Ave., Lehighton, seeking $1,196.18; Barbara Andrew, 22 Sam Brooke Circle, Lehighton, seeking $2,226.56; and Rabecca Zieger Fuss, 131 S. Second St., Lehighton, seeking $2,924.98.

Remit Corporation, 36 W. Main St., Bloomsburg, filed against Timothy D. Appel, 275 S. First St., Lehighton, seeking $1,824.41.

Citibank South Dakota, 701 E. 60th St. N., Sioux Falls, S.D., filed two actions as follows: Oscar W. Morrison, 404 Lake Drive, Nesquehoning, seeking $7,594.44; and Dan P. Mills Jr., 277 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, seeking $9,910.80.

Midland Funding, 1060 Andrew Drive, West Chester, filed against Shawn P. Patterson, 401 Bridge St., Weissport, seeking $3,955.42.

Bill owed

Blue Mountain Health System, dba, The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 211 N. 12th St., Lehighton, filed suit against Sandra Reese, 7 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, as power of attorney for Rose Mary Strohl, deceased. The suit claims a bill is owed for services provided to Strohl at the center prior to her death. Sought is $15,187.27 plus costs, interest and fees.

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

BAC Home Loans Servicing, 1800 Tapo Canyon Rd., Simi Valley, Calif., filed an action against Christopher Linton, and Andrea B., aka, Andrea C. Linton, 71 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield, over property at 124 Snow Ridge Village, White Haven. Sought is $26,971.54 and continuing interest.

BAC Home filed against Dale R. Baddorf, 220 Libby Ann Drive, Bunker Hill, W.Va., over property at 25 Pheasant Hill Drive, Towamensing Township. Sought is $192,467.33 and continuing interest.

BAC Home filed against Harold Joseph Tonkin, 13 E. Fell St., Summit Hill, over property at that address. Sought is $52,709.11 and continuing interest.

Nationstar Mortgage, 350 Highland Drive, Lewisville, Tex., filed an action against Melissa A. and Christopher J. Napoletano, 14 Tallwood Drive, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $89,404.13 and continuing interest.

GMAC Mortgage, 3451 Hammond Ave., Waterloo, IA., filed an action against Mary F. Levinson, 493 Laurelwoods, Lake Harmony, over property at that address. Sought is $219,240.90 and continuing interest.

PHH Mortgage Corp., 2001 Bishops Gate Blvd., Mount Laurel, N.J., filed an action against Jill Guth, 144 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, over property at that address. Sought is $87,408.51 and continuing interest.

Note default

Mauch Chunk Trust Co., 1111 North St., Jim Thorpe, filed an action against Eckman Lumber Co., 1280 Mian Rd., Weissport, and John W. Eckman II, same address. alleging a default on a promissory note. Sought is $683,479.61 and interest.

Dog attack

Scott Wescott III, 286-62 Lower Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton, filed suit against Brenda White, 156 Buck River Rd., Gouldsboro.

The suit states on Nov. 12, 2008, Wescott was on the defendants' property when he was allegedly attacked by a dog owned by White. Sought is damages for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit. Sought is damages in excess of $50,000.

Sues credit company

Nicholas A. Imbriale, Box 1538, Penn Forest Trail, Albrightsville, filed suit against FIA Card Services, 1100 N. King St., Wilmington, Del.

The suit states the plaintiff was a creditor of the defendants and owed a debt. On April 28, 2008, the plaintiff notified the defendant by certified mail that he had hired an attorney to file for bankruptcy and to cease all mailings directly to him and provided the mailing address and telephone number of his attorney. Since then, the suit states, the plaintiff has received letters from FIA about the debt which has caused damages to the plaintiff. It is alleged the damages caused to the plaintiff includes the cost of first-class charges and envelopes to mail billing statements to his attorney; a feeling of severe stress upon receipt of statements; feeling of intimidation; anger; panic attacks; and paranoia including risk of suicidal ideation upon receipt of statements.

Sought are damages not in excess of $50,000.

Divorces started

Jenell M. Evanetz, 207 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, filed against Nathaniel J. Evanetz, 927 Linden St., Bethlehem. They were married March 8, 2008.

Landis C. Jones Jr., 405 Lonesome Lane, Towamensing Township, Palmerton, filed against Cathy A. Jones, same address. They were married Sept. 22, 1978.
