Shooting supsect is apprehended
The man sought in a shooting incident in Schuylkill County has been apprehended.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Tyler J. Kreiser, 19, of Pine Grove, was apprehended on Monday by troopers. He was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and related counts and committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $15,000 straight cash bail.
Kreiser is accused of shooting Ronald Knoll, 30, of New Philadelphia, in the face at least four times with a pellet gun during a dispute. Knoll sustained injuries to his left cheek, nose, right eye and forehead. The eye injury was serious, causing Knoll to be transferred from the Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville, to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
The incident occurred about 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday along Swopes Valley Road, in Pine Grove Township. An article concerning the incident appeared on page two of Tuesday's TIMES NEWS police log.
