Theft incidents probed by PSP

State police at Lehighton reported theft incidents probed by troopers in recent days and a criminal mischief incident.

Troopers said Lloyd R. Heckman, 57, of 373 Center St., Parryville, Carbon County, reported a .22-caliber Remington semiautomatic rifle and a .22-caliber Hamilton rifle were removed from his residence. Heckman gave the name of a 34-year-old male as the suspect. The investigation is continuing, troopers said.

Marilyn Macvicar, of 1955 Station St., Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported unknown persons stole vehicle parts from a 1970 Ford F250 truck parked at her property. The vehicle has not been registered or operated since 1992, troopers said. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 22-27.

Troopers said a 50-year-old who resides at 5573 Carney Rd., in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, reported gold and garnet cross pendant were removed from a jewelry box at the residence sometime between midnight and 11 a.m. on Dec. 1.

Marlene I. Oswald, 50, of 7113 Rossmore Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone damaged two driveway markers and three fence rails at her property. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. and Nov. 27 at 6:30 a.m.
