Honor roll
The names of Kaitlyn Bender and Takota Kromer were inadvertently omitted from the list of students who earned honor roll status at the Tamaqua Elementary School. Both girls are third-grade students who earned High Honors.
St. John Lutheran
The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. service this Second Sunday of Advent in the Fellowship Hall of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The service will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will be held following the service as will a meeting for parents and children interested in attending the upcoming retreat.
Activities for next week will include: Thursday, Angel Choir rehearsal at 6 p.m., Senior Choir rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. and Youth Choir at 7:30 p.m.
Gaudenzia/Bridge House gifts must be returned by Dec. 13.
The combined Sunday school program/worship service will be held Dec. 20, at 9:15 a.m.
Christmas Eve services will include a family service at 7 p.m. and the Festival Candlelight service will be at 10 p.m.
Calvary Methodist
The Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school for all ages will be held at 9:15 a.m. An evening Bible study and praise session will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
An evening prayer and share service is held Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The Sunday School's annual Christmas program will be presented on Dec. 13, at 10:25 a.m. This will be followed by a fellowship dinner/party. For further information, call (570) 668-3359 or (570) 668-4459.
