Local man to face New York charges
Christopher Yerger, 223 W. High St., Nesquehoning, was arrested by borough police on Wednesday on charges that he is a fugitive from justice in New York, where he is wanted on charges of grand larceny.
Police said he was taken into custody without incident and will be extradited to New York to face the Class D felony charge.
Police said they learned Yerger is facing the charges in Westchester County, N.Y.
He was arraigned before District Justice Casimir Kosciolek, lansford, and held in the county prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
