NCFC auxiliary
The ladies auxiliary to the New Columbus Fire Company will hold its Christmas party at the fire company on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. A $10 exchange gift is optional.
Woman's club
The Nesquehoning Woman's Club will hold its Christmas dinner at Macaluso's on Monday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Instead of exchange gifts, members attending could bring a nonperishable food item for the food pantry in Nesquehoning.
Senior center events
The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced the list of activities for December.
Starting Monday, Dec. 7 will be penny game at 11 a.m. Dec. 8 is line dancing. On Dec. 9 everyone will go to Penn's Peak for the Christmas Show. They will leave at 11 a.m. The center will be closed. Dec. 10 is blood pressure screenings. Everyone will help bake Christmas cookies. Dec. 11 is shopping with transportation on CCCT at 9:30 a.m.
Dec. 14 Christmas Carols will be sung by the Golden Agers Chorus. Dec. 15 line dancing. Dec. 16 is the Christmas party at 11 a.m. Dec. 17 birthdays will be celebrated and bingo will be played at 11 a.m. Dec. 18 a video of the history of Nesquehoning will be aired at 11 a.m. followed by an ice cream social.
Dec. 21 a trip to the Mohegan Sun Casino at 9:30 a.m. The center will be closed. Dec. 22 line dancing. Dec. 23 lottery ticket bingo at 11 a.m. Dec. 24 the center is closed. Dec. 25 is Christmas and the center is closed.
Dec. 28 horse racing at 11 a.m. Dec. 29 line dancing. Dec. 30 Wii bowling. Dec. 31 New Year's Eve Party at 11 a.m.
