Tamaqua Christmas Walking Tour

Dale Freudenberger, president of the Tamaqua Historical Society, leads a group on a walking tour of historic sites along Broad Street Thursday evening to open the community's annual Spirit of Christmas festival, sponsored by the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership. Here, Freudenberger and the group stop in front of the Tamaqua Area School District's administration building as he discusses the Elks lodge across the street at the corner of W. Broad and Nescopec Streets. The festival continues tonight with the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce's Santa Claus Parade, includes the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission's Breakfast With Santa and the Chamber's Pub Crawl Saturday and concludes Sunday evening with the Tamaqua Beautification Association's tree lighting at Depot Square Park.
