Weather causes Owl Creek Road crash

Numerous accidents were reported Saturday evening as the result of a snow storm which swept throughout the area. Tamaqua emergency personnel were first dispatched to an accident along Owl Creek Road just after 6 p.m. but it was soon discovered the crash was actually in Summit Hill, Carbon county. Police and ambulance personnel found a pickup truck which had lost control on a snow covered roadway along White Bear Drive West striking a bridge abutment head-on. Injuries were reported in the incident.
