The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.
HSBC Bank Nevada, 1111 Town Center Drive, Las Vegas, Nev., filed two actions as follows: Arthur H. Brobst, 149 Ashley Lane, Lehighton, seeking $1,576.48; and Michael S. Filosa, 16 Larch Lane, Albrightsville, seeking $3,258.17.
Citibank South Dakota, 701 E. 60th St., N., Sioux Falls, S.D., filed against Michael J. Troutman, 404 Ben Salem Rd., Lehighton, seeking $10,945.29.
Unifund Corp., c/o 1729 Pittston Ave., Scranton, filed against Deborah L. Hetherington, 453 Oak Hill Rd., Weatherly, seeking $7,678.42.
Discover Bank, 6500 New Albany Rd., New Albany, Ohio, filed two actions as follows: Ashley Hall Nothstein, 444 E. Kline Ave., Lansford, seeking $4,761.44; and Maria Elena Filosa, 16 Larch Lane, Albrightsville, seeking $3,163.15.

Arrow Financial Services, 600 Broadhollow Rd., Melville, N.Y., filed against Richard L. Gechter, 423 N. Fourth St., Lehighton, seeking $8.169.55.
Sues over fall
Shawn Nalesnik, 120 N. Oak St., Summit Hill, filed a civil complaint against Blue Label, George R. Petrole, individually, and George R. Petrole, dba, Blue Label, all of 422 N. Fourth St., Lehighton.
The suit states on Jan. 2, 2008, the plaintiff was working as a independent electrical contractor and the defendant was engaged in construction and remodeling services.
The suit further states on the date listed the plaintiff was working at 347 N. Second St., Lehighton, for the defendant doing work when he was instructed by the defendant to use a ladder provided by the defendant to complete a required task when the ladder collapsed causing Nalesnik to fall to the ground causing injuries detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought are damages in excess of $50,000.
Divorces started
Bryan C. Gogal, 601 Jamestown Drive, Lehighton, filed against Shannon Lee Everett, same address. They were married Oct. 28, 2006.
Barbara Richardson, 106 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, filed against Stephen Richardson, same address. They were married Dec. 27, 2005.
Francis D. Schweibinz, 12 W. Ninth St., Jim Thorpe, filed against Jolene M. Schweibinz, 197 Beaver Run Rd., Lehighton. They were married Aug. 4, 2001.
Christine Baldassano, 80 W. Seventh St., Jim Thorpe, filed against Sal Baldassano, 22 Shad Blue Lane, Jim Thorpe. They were married June 16, 2001.
Construction bill
H&S Homes Inc., Box 2132, Albrightsville, filed a complaint against Mark and Helene Halligan, 117 N. Omond Rd., Havertown.
The suit states on July 14, 2008, the plaintiff was contracted by the defendants to construct a home at 6 Brier Crest Rd., Blakeslee, Tunkhannock Twp., Monroe County. The home was completed and the defendants took possession.
The suit alleges a bill of $11,063.25 is still owed to the plaintiff for the work and is sought plus interest, fees and costs.
Mortgageforeclosures

BAC Home Loans Servicing, 18000 Tapo Canyon Rd., Simi Valley, Calif., filed an action against Michael J. and Cathleen DiCiccio, 104 David Drive, Mullica, N.J., over property at 1382 Stony Mountain Rd., Penn Forest Township. Sought is $154,851.30 and continuing interest.
LaSalle Bank National Association, 12650 Ingenuity Drive, Orlando, Fla., filed an action against Jeffrey S. Wainwright and Jennifer A. Letcher, both of 298 Packer St., Weatherly, over property at that address. Sought is $34,031.93 and continuing interest.
