Rig fails to stop after I-80 mishap

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said a tractor trailer that struck a car on Thursday at 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township failed to stop.

Police said the rig drifted into the lane of a 2010 Subaru driven by Diana L. Gerson, 51, of Plymouth, Pa., making contact with the car and then leaving the scene.

Gerson was uninjured.
