Shoot the Moon nets record deal & a video

The rock band Shoot the Moon, which appears in various local venues and on Labor Day entertained at Zoostock in Lansford, has a new record label.

In addition, the band is getting its first video.

Sean McGeehan, lead singer, remarked, " I have some very exciting news that I would love to share with you and hopefully spread the word."

He said the band's record deal is with Crazy Dog Records, an independent label with major distribution.

An album is planned for release in the near future.

Shoot the Moon is in theprocess of filming a video.

Last weekend, the band filmed the majority of the video at Digital Video Productions Inc, West Hazleton. The director is David Sabashvili, who has won foreign and independent film awards including "director of the year."

His most recent work in the entertainment field is with major artists including Breaking Benjamin and Gavin Degraw.

The final phase of the video shoot will be shot Saturday during a performance by Shoot the Moon at Scores Pub, Clamtown.

The video is for the song "Late at Night," the first single off the album. The single debuted in over 32 countries two weeks ago.

McGeehan said, "This Saturday will be very exciting for me, my hometown,my friends/fans/even family will get to see us perform locally. It is also exciting for our bassist James Balogach, a native of Tamaqua.
