St. John's Lutheran Church, in the heights section of Jim Thorpe, is hosting its Second Annual Crèche/Nativity Display this weekend. The church is located at 319 South Ave.

The event will take place this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13, from noon until 5 p.m.

There will be over 150 different nativity displays from members of the congregation. The display will include a variety of international nativity scenes from such countries as Germany, Italy, France, Honduras and Ireland, among others. The various nativities are made of glass, ceramic, wood, terra cotta, plastic and other materials, with some dating back to the early 1890s.

The public is welcome to visit St. John's this weekend, and experience the true meaning of the season. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
