A Schuylkill County teen was nabbed this week for shoplifting.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 17-year-old male from Shenandoah placed two baseball bats (TPX exo grid and a Demarini Vendetta), under his sweatshirt and left the Schuylkill Valley Sports store in the Fairlane Village Mall, Norwegian Township, without paying for the items. He was stopped by store employees and returned to the business and held until troopers arrived. The incident occurred about 7-7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

He was released to the custody of his parents. Charges will be filed with the county juvenile probation office.
