Two juveniles were arrested this week and charged in connection with an incident that occurred last August in which 23 mailboxes were damaged.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the two juveniles, ages 15 and 16 and both from Pine Grove, have been charged with criminal mischief. According to troopers the two drove along Oak Grove, Trumbo, Suedberg and Moonshine roads in Pine Grove Township during the hours of 2 and 4 a.m. on Aug. 29 and damaged the mailboxes. Troopers said the 15-year-old drove a motorcycle while the 16-year-old passenger used a hammer-like instrument to damage the mailboxes.

The charges will be filed with the county juvenile probation office.
