Draw your own conclusions
Dear Editor:
Recently, two former owners of Schuylkill Products Inc., Cressona, were indicted in a $136 million fraud scheme involving the U.S. Department of Transportation. The 32-count indictment charged Joseph Nagle and Ernest Fink, Jr. with two counts of conspiracy, 11 counts of wire fraud, six counts of mail fraud, 11 counts of unlawful monetary transactions, and two forfeiture counts.
I would like to present some additional facts for consideration by the readers. Since 2004, Mr. Nagle has donated at least $3,500 to Volunteers for David Argall, the campaign committee for then state Representative and now state Senator David Argall (Pennsylvania Department of State, Campaign Finance Reporting records).
In addition, Schuylkill Products gave Mr. Argall at least $6,500 in 2002 and $2,600 in 2003 for transportation, lodging, hospitality (Statements of Financial Interests, Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission).
Again, I leave it up to the readers to draw their own conclusions from these facts.
