Man jailed on bad check counts

A Lackawanna County man was jailed in Monroe County on bad check counts.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Stephen Angerson, 24, of Dickson City, was taken into custody on Thursday, Dec. 10, by Dickson City police on a warrant issued to Pocono police.

Angerson is charged with two counts of bad checks and one count each of theft and theft by deception. Angerson wrote out a check for $6,000 and allegedly stole $3,000 of household items when he moved from a residence in Arrowhead Lakes development in Tobyhanna Township.

Angerson was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $10,000 cash straight bail.
