Local restaurant assists with food and toys

Noraine McGee, left, owner of Grandma's Bakery and Cafe, 7635 Interchange Road, Lehighton, presents a check to Nick Hawkey of the Carbon-Mountaineers Marine Corps League Detachment 996. McGee and her patrons assisted the Blue Ridge Toy and Food Drive by collecting toys, non perishable food and selling donor cards. The toys, food and funds of $175 helped provide food baskets and toys for needy families in the Palmerton area during the Christmas season.
