Pennsyvania State Police gearing up for Camp Cadet program
Kids gear up for a great week.
Pennsylvania State Police Troop "N" is once again sponsoring Camp Cadet. Camp Cadet is a fun, week long summer camp designed to give young people a better understanding of law enforcement activities in an actual State Police training school.
Participants can witness helicopter and canine demonstrations and learn about martial arts and drug awareness and more.
Boys and girls are eligible to attend. Attendees must be between 12 and 14 years old and be in good physical condition. Children must live in Lower Luzern, Carbon, Columbia and Monroe counties.
The camp fills fast so parents are encouraged to pick up applications at the Pennsylvania State Police stations in Hazleton, Bloomsburg, Lehighton, Fern Ridge and Swiftwater. Applications are also available at schools in the any of counties listed above.
Deadline to submit an application is March 31.
