Carbon burglary

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said the home of Sylvai McLawrence, 118 Hiawatha Trail, Mt. Pocahontas, Albrightsville, was entered sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Entry was gained by forcing open a first floor bedroom window.

Removed from the house were several items.

Troopers are also probing a break-in at a Monroe County home. Troopers said the home of Rich Goma, 43, of Bunny Blvd., Effort, Chestnuthill Township, was entered sometime between 9 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. Various items were removed form the home.
