Pets like Santa too

Pet owners from throughout the area gathered at Tractor Supply this weekend for pet pictures with Santa. Santa, played by Craig Shide of Pocono Greyhound Adoption, gamely posed with playful puppies, well-behaved dogs, and curious kitties as Mrs. Claus, played by his wife Kim Shide, took their picture. Also helping was Dr. Mary Lombardo of the Amazing Grace Spay and Neuter Program. All donations benefited Pocono Greyhound Adoption and the Amazing Grace Spay and Neuter Program. In top photo Craig Shide poses with Rufus, a cairn terrier, and greyhound Buttercup during Pet Pictures with Santa. Buttercup was adopted through Pocono Greyhound Adoption, and her Jim Thorpe owners thought the photo would be a fitting reunion for the Shides and Buttercup. In bottom photo Casey and Toby finally pose for the camera with Santa. Both waited impatiently in line for their turn to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
