Toys for Tots and Santa

Siblings Emily, 8, Hannah, 4, and Tyler Devonshire, 14, gather around Santa and Mrs. Claus at Jim Thorpe Memorial Park's skating rink. Jim Thorpe Scouts gathered this weekend to meet Santa Claus and celebrate the end of another year with their Scouting friends and families. Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts of all ages attended. Each Scout was asked to bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots to make a less fortunate child's holiday brighter, and they donated more than 60 toys. Santa and Mrs. Claus were played by Boy Scout Troup 555 leader Ray Attewell and Girl Scout Troop 4229 volunteer Rose Eberts. The event was sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 555, Cub Pack 567, and Girl Scout Troop 4229.
