A driver involved in a one vehicle crash in Carbon County has been charged.

State police at Lehighton said Todd E. Dowling, 35, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Aztek westbound on 57 Drive in Towamensing Township, about 1:45 a.m. on Dec. 10 and traveling too fast for conditions. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a bridge rail, then continued northwest off the shoulder. The front of the vehicle then struck a outhouse located about five feet north of the road, spun about 180 degrees, and traveled southwest onto the road. It came to rest in the westbound lane, facing west.

Dowling and his passenger, Bambi Taschler, 31, of Kunkletown, were reported not injured. Dowling was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
