Mailbox culprit is sought

The person who damaged numerous mailboxes along Monroe County roads is being sought.

State police at Lehighton said mailboxes along Carney, Getz Dawl and Hideaway Hills roads in Polk Township, were smashed by an unknown criminal. The incident occurred sometime between 1 and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270 or the crime stoppers at 1-800-4PA TIPS. Caller may remain anonymous and may be eligible for cash reward if their information leads to an arrest by calling crime stoppers.
