Schuylkill driver flown to hospital
A Schuylkill County driver, involved in a one- vehicle crash about 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, was flown to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
State police at Frackville said Edward H. Hauptly Jr., 20, of St. Clair, was driving a 2005 Chrysler Sebring westbound on SR4007 (High Ridge Park Road), in Cass Township, when he failed to negotiate a right curve. The car went onto the south berm and struck a tree head-on.
Hauptly was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, troopers said. Troopers added charges are pending against Hauptly.
