West Penn Township police responded to a call Thursday at 9:30 a.m. along Rt. 309 on the Blue Mountain. Officer Melissa Johnson found an overturned trailer that had lost its load of baled Christmas trees. Apparently a pickup truck was towing the trailer north on 309 descending the north side of the mountain when the incident occurred. Traffic was reduced from three lanes to two lanes as the tress were retrieved. West Penn Fire Police maintained traffic control at the scene.
