Fire company receives money

Our Lady of Mount Carmel prayer group presented a check for $2,138 to members of the New Columbus Fire Company during its monthly breakfast held at the fire company. The proceeds from two fund raisers, a basket raffle/Christmas Cookie sale and a roast beef dinner, helped the fire company and the Carmelite Nuns in Coopersburg. Accepting the money were members of the fire company who will use the money toward a new Jaws for Life.Seated left to right are Sheree Strauss, Felicia Pilla, Liz Mele and Mary Theresa Hunsicker.
