New book drop at Palmerton Library

Returning your library books is now as easy as dropping it in a box in front of the Palmerton Area Library. Thanks to a grant, Horsehead's Community Fund donated $4,500 for a book/media return box to the library. The box sits by the front entrance on Delaware Ave., thanks to the staff from Palmerton Auto Parts who helped unload and place the drop box. Library director, Diane Danielson demonstrates how easy it is to return items to the library, even after hours. Also, the library encourages anyone who has any outstanding loans to return them now until Jan. 2, 2010 without any late fees. "We just want our items back and this way there is no embarrassment," she says. She says the library is very grateful to Horsehead for the donation.
