Object thrown at passing vehicle

State police at Frackville is investigating an incident that occurred along a Schuylkill County road in which an object was thrown from one vehicle at a passing vehicle causing damages.

Troopers said Timothy Heimbach, 50, of Easton, was operating a 1999 Freightliner truck westbound on the Morea Raod, just east of Industrial Park Rd., in West Mahanoy Township, about 4:40 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, when someone from a passing vehicle threw an unknown object at the truck.

Troopers said projectile hit the front windshield of the truck causing the glass insert to shatter. Heimbach was not injured. The truck is owned by Road Scholar Transport of Dunmore, Lackawanna County.

The suspect vehicle continued eastbound. No description of the vehicle was obtained.
