Tamaqua YMCA celebrates anniversary

The Tamaqua YMCA celebrated the one-year anniversary of its new family fitness center, located in the former Jamesway Department Store, with a Christmas party and open house on Friday, Dec. 18 at the facility. Among the well-wishers in attendance were State Representative Jerry Knowles (R-124, left) and State Senator David Argall (R-29, right). Argall presented a citation to the Tamaqua YMCA on behalf of the State Senate. Accepting for the Tamaqua Y was Nick Zigmant (center), branch executive.
