One-vehicle crash injures 2 persons

Two persons sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash Sunday at 12:30 a.m. on Township Route 628 in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County, according to state polilce at the Frackville barracks.

Police said Koren M. Frey, 27, of Minersville, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer north when she lost control of the vehicle. It went off the roadway and struck a metal pole on the east side of the road.

Both Frey and Janet Putalavage, 42, also of Minersville, a passenger, sustained minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

Police said Frey will be cited as a result of the mishap.
